The Boyfriend (33 words)

He sported straight back and sides, wore tie and shirt to work everyday, ate only cheese sandwiches. He was so pedantic it pained her adventurous heart. But when he left, she was lost.

  1. Poor her.. maybe she was as pedantic?

    • She might have been. I haven’t fleshed her out enough to know.

  3. Perhaps she took more comfort in stability than she wanted to admit.

    • I think so. She could only be flighty and adventurous if he was there to be her rock.

  4. I’m interested in the brevity of the piece being part of the overall story. Three things sum up the entirety of the fellow in the story, yet I think those three things tell us more about the female in the story. Really well done!

    • You’re right in that it is all about her. Thanks for that great comment.

    • I love a cheese sarnie. I think she prefers a BLT, or maybe sushi.

  6. Another case of not knowing what good things you have until they’re gone. Good work with the prompt word.

    • Why is it always when it’s too late? Hopefully she’ll be more aware next time.
