#Trifextra: Week 59 – The Mist

with 19 comments

This weekend Trifecta are asking for exactly 33 words inspired by the following photo.

After reading many of the good and serious entries of others, mine’s a bit weak, but it’s the first (and only) thing that came to mind. It doesn’t do credit to this gorgeous photo.

How could I be so stupid? To drop that most precious thing? How am I going to find it with all these kids running about and –

‘Sorry, sir. Didn’t see you down there.’

  5. This is such a creative take on the prompt – not weak at all, just different, which is good! Well done!

  6. lol Very funny.

concrit: ‘that most precious thing’ really should be a specific object. My ugly engagement ring. : )

    • Thanks and I agree. I could only think ring or letter and thought they were a bit too obvious. The ring would work as something small (likely to be dropped) and hard (bounce out of sight). Will try harder to be specific and not chicken out next time.

  7. Hmm. This makes my mind wander and dwell, as great fiction should. Thanks for your absolutely-not-weak entry!
