Steady progress

Today, on returning to Chapter 7 and the couple of pages I had managed to edit into readable prose, I was able to carry on. This time, incorporating the hand written changes with those that came spilling in as I read was easier. Instead of trying to do both at once, I skipped ahead, typed in the suggested edits from October, and then went back to re-read. I don’t know many times I’ve read and re-read the first half of Chapter 7, but now the whole thing has been put to bed. Until the next time. The following two emails of Pippa’s have also been edited, and needed far less work. Pippa’s voice seems to come through clearly and, once said (typed on the page), her thoughts rarely need changing. It’s the action of the characters in between that needs most work. And so on to chapter 8.
